Justin Wright was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for the constituency of Cypress-Medicine Hat on May 29, 2023.
He is currently a member of the following legislative committees:
- Standing Committee on Private Bills
- Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future
Since 2021 Mr. Wright has been the owner of Fryer Tuck’s Food Truck Inc., and prior to that, he acted as store manager for Walmart and as general manager for Future Shop in Medicine Hat.
Very active in his community, Mr. Wright acted as president of the Spectrum Festival from 2021 to 2023 and is currently serving in different capacities at these three organizations: Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association (volunteer coach), MyCityCare (volunteer) and Bridge church (volunteer).
Originally from London, Ontario, Mr. Wright lives in Medicine Hat with his wife and three children and is currently enrolled at Athabasca University. He enjoys being outdoors to hunt and fish, and also coaches a local hockey team.
Mr. Wright was the 982nd member sworn into the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
