The Legislative Assembly of Alberta’s Public Service Orientation offers an important foundational understanding of the functions of the Legislative Assembly. This full-day, in-person program explores legislative, budgetary and committee processes, enabling each participant to effectively apply this knowledge to their role in the public service.
Sessions include:
- Assembly 101 with the Speaker and Clerk
- Decision Making Process with the Cabinet Coordination Office
- Committees 101 with LAO Committee staff
- Tour of the Legislature Building
- Observing the Legislative Assembly in Session
