Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Family Day at the Legislature Grounds

EDMONTON – The Legislative Assembly of Alberta is holding its annual Family Day celebration in the Legislature Building and the Queen Elizabeth II Building Visitor Centre on Monday, February 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Family Day has always been a special time to have fun and appreciate the bonds that tie us together. I welcome all Albertans to celebrate at our family-friendly event,” said the Honourable Nathan Cooper, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
Families can take part in a directed open house at the Legislature Building, create with Zuma Crafts and take part in Storytime with Naomi McIlwraith.
The Queen Elizabeth II Building will feature local family-friendly interactive entertainment throughout the day, including magic shows, circus acts and musical and dance performances. The site also offers a LEGO® Zone and the interactive and engaging spaces of the Visitor Centre, including the Borealis Gallery, the Pehonan Theatre, Capital Gifts and the engaging Democracy Discovery Centre.

- Youth entertainer, Jojo’s Magic Circus
- As always, all events are free and open to everyone.
