12 Based on an approved motion of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services on January 9 and February 11, 2025, sections 1, 3 and 4 of the Members’ Allowances Order and section 1 of the Executive Council Salaries Order, components of Member remuneration shall be increased or decreased by the year-over-year weighted average percentage change in wage settlements for the public sector in Alberta for the immediately preceding calendar year, published by the department administered by the Minister of Jobs, Economy and Trade. The increase or decrease implemented on April 1, 2025, is deemed to be effective January 1, 2025.

11 Based on an approved motion of the Special Standing Committee on the Members’ Services Committee (MSC), there shall be no adjustment to the salaries until the 180th day immediately following the day on which the 31st Legislature commences.

10 Based on an approved motion of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services (MSC) there shall be a 5 per cent reduction to the salaried effective August 6, 2019.

9 Based on an approved motion of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services (MSC), there shall be no adjustment to the salaries until two months after the first day of the 30th Legislature.

8 Based on approved motions of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services (MSC), there shall be a 5 per cent reduction to the salaries effective February 1, 2015.

7 Based on an approved motion of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services (MSC), there shall be no adjustment to the salaries for the fiscal years April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2017.

6 Based on an approved motion of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services (MSC), there shall be no annual adjustment to the salaries for the fiscal year April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.

5 Based on Government Motion 11 approving in principle the recommendations of the Review of Compensation of Members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta submitted by the Honourable J. C. Major, CC, QC, and in accordance with the decisions of the Special Standing Committee on Members´ Services (MSC) on June 7, 2012, components of Member remuneration are to be adjusted on April 23, 2012.

4 Based on an approved motion of the Special Standing Committee on Members´ Services (MSC), there shall be no annual adjustment to the salaries for the fiscal year April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013.
