Parliamentary Secretary for Agrifood Development
The Honourable Grant Hunter was re-elected on May 29, 2023 to his second term as the Member of the Legislative Assembly representing Taber-Warner. He was previously the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Cardston-Taber-Warner from 2015 to 2019.
He is currently a member of the following legislative committees:
- Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship
- Select Special Conflicts of Interest Act Review Committee
- Select Special Ethics Commissioner and Chief Electoral Officer Search Committee
He served as Associate Minister of Red Tape Reduction from April 30, 2019, to July 7, 2021, 2021, where he set up the government’s red tape reduction strategy.
Mr. Hunter holds a bachelor of science degree and a master of business administration.
Mr. Hunter has served as a board member for several political and community organizations, including the Cardston Lions Club.
He resides in Taber with his wife, Angie, and has five children and four grandchildren.
Hunter was the 889th Member to be sworn into the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
