Court Ellingson was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Calgary-Foothills on May 29, 2023.
He is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.
Mr. Ellingson was the program director for the Calgary Innovation Coalition from 2021 to 2023 and served as the vice-president of strategy for Calgary Economic Development from 2014 to 2021. He acted as a senior consultant for Millier Dickinson Blais from 2009 to 2014 and held the position of country program manager in Indonesia for Cuso International between 2002 and 2007.
Active in his community, Mr. Ellingson was the board chair and director for Sustainable Calgary and held director-at-large positions from 2021 to 2023 with the Calgary Arts Academy and Local Investing YYC.
Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Mr. Ellingson grew up in Valleyview and obtained his bachelor of commerce from the University of Calgary. He is a proud member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, speaks Bahasa Indonesia and enjoys hiking, travelling, skiing and cycling.
He was the 960th Member to be sworn into the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
